Okay so first day, which I was really looking forward to, turned out to be the worst day here so far.
I got there and the woman showed me to the department I'd be working on, Jazz in the Disney All Star Music resort. Not a single person was English... Even the manager was spanish and some one came in to translate for me. Great start...
Then I went and met my trainer, again she was spanish. I don't have anything against spanish people, but it's hard work trying to learn when I don't speak their language! Anyhow I just had to use the strategy of watch and learn. Which seemed to work as I picked it up quite easily. But not having anyone to talk to all day, working in silence was horrible!
Also we were told that we'd have about 8 rooms to clean to start off with then work our way up to 18rooms, but oh no, I get the family suites which counts as 2 rooms so overall I did 14 rooms. Tired dot com.
Came back to chatham, and literally collasped! I was sooooo tired. Only one more day of AM housekeeping and I'll be doing nights. I heard good things about nights apparently it's not as hard work as AM housekeeping. THANK GOD! I hate it. So hopefully I'll prefer PM housekeeping, one of the girls said its soooooooooo much fun, but she's done her time here and it was her last day today, so I'm hoping the rest of the staff are english, or atleast speak some words of english.
Went to walmart with Becky and Steph and got some things on the sly for Steph's birthday on friday, like candles, a badge and balloons :) So that'll be a good day.
Any how tomorrow is my last 6am get up so I'm gonna go crash out and retire!

Routine!
Okay so I'm getting better at doing a day to day account of what's going down in Disney town!
This morning had a slight lie in til 9am but was awoken from the music from some cast members graduation since it was right outside my appartment. So I took a nosey and it looks amazing! Cap, certificate, pics with mickey, minnie, goofy and pluto, with a bbq and music!
Then it was the last day of having to wearing business attire woo hoo! Had to do e-learning pretty pointless but was pretty much over with in 2 hours. So I came back ate tea and then got ready for an evening in Epcot with Becky.
Was pretty cool, took loads of pictures! The rides were pretty amazing. Except the mexican boat ride... What every passenger wants to hear "We're sorry but we're experiencing some technical difficulties please wait for a cast member to assist you" oh the joys! But luckily we were off in like 10mins.
Found Roberta working away and when I say working, I mean talking haha. But was good to see her since I haven't seen her in like a week!
Then I watched the fire works which were yet again amazing! I will never go to a firework display at home ever again, it'll just be disappointing compared to these! Absolutely amazing! It still doesn't feel like I'm here, I just can't take it all in properly. It's just WOW! I honestly don't want these next 11weeks to go fast. I don't wanna go home!
Thats pretty much my day. It's 10.30pm now so time for bed since I'm up at 6am for my first proper day working in the hotel and working in my costume woo hoo!

So excited it is unbelievable!
Hi y'all!
Okay so today I had my second training orientation. Had to be up at 7am to get the 8.17 bus to All Star's cast services where I got to meet other housekeepers, get a tour of the resorts at where I shall be working and got my costume! EEEEEEP!
The tour okay, was slightly boring mainly because I was so tired and ready for a nap! But I got to see where I was working and all 3 resorts are HUGE! But I love the movie resort, theres a toy story section and you can walk in to Andy's room and it is massive like woody is 50x's the size of me!
Then I got to find out my shifts. And I'm not a mornign housekeeper woo hoo! I'm an evening house keeper so I don't clean rooms well as many as morning people but I get a different costume and that means I get peak sun times! :D So I'll get to maintain the tan ;) I'm gonna be working 4.30pm til 12.30am so not too bad I guess. Here is the uniform for morning housekeeping, which I have to do for 2 days, incase i wanna do over time.

Then I got the bus back. I love the people here as they are always talkative and friendly and will just talk to anyone. So I met a few more people today which was pretty cool!
As soon as I got back I went to the pool with my housemate steph to get as much of the last sun as possible. It was sooo ncie in the pool at this time not too cold! And there were ducks simming in the pool which was soooo cute!
Then basically replied to emails skyped my mum and chilled ready for my full week of work and training. Bring on Sat, sun and monday! My days off! woo hoo!

I'VE ARRIVED :D
Okay so basically I suck at attempting to keep this thing up to date! I have a weeks worth to write about so hopefully I'll have enough room.
SAT 30/4
SUN 1/05
Did not sleep at all! Set off a bit later than I would have liked. Also got a tad upset in the car, cried a little but it was oblivious to mum and jim since I had the sunglasses on. Then when I got to the airport saw the girls who was on the same row as me on the plane, said my good bye to my mum and jim. Mum cried which made me cry again. Jeeees it's only 12 weeks I've been away for that long at uni! But got checked in had breakfast and went to board the plane!
The first plane was fine! The food was disgusting though I hate plane food bleh! Then we arrived at JFK had a quick dash to connect to our other plane. Almost thought we weren't gonna make it but we did phewwww! Then we had more disgusting food and got to watch The Kings Speech but I couldn't really get into the film as I was so anxious about arriving in Florida!!! Was a bit eventful as one of the girls had an epileptic fit, had no idea was to do in that situation, so scary! We wern't allowed to land the plane so we had to somehow get her on her seat even though she still wans't fully conscious. Luckily there were a few doctors and nurse on the plane but not on shift! When we landed the paramedics came to check her and stuff. They were HOT so nice and talkative too. But everything was fine so we finally could make our way to VISTA WAY wahoo!
Got to vista way and found out what complex we would be staying at I am at Chatham Square. Which is sooo nice we have a tennis court, volley ball court, a gym, a bbq area and a pool. Finally got to my apartment at 8.30pm florida time 1.30 am english time. Met my first 2 room mates who are from Canada Steph and Lesley who seem nice, wasn't awkward or anything. They had just moved in today too so we were all new. Then the fourth one arrived Becky and it's so strange as she's from the uni of chester (chester campus) lives in Ulvertson (10mins from where I live) and we both went to the same sixthform. Pretty small world! Went to walmart for the first time and it's huge! You can get anything and everything including guns... The quantity size is amazing too! So many like 50 in a pack or something ridiculous! Got a phone too as I felt like a limb was missing, then came back and went straight to sleep since i had been up for well over 24hours TIRED DOT COM!
MON 2/05
Had to get up extremely early like 7am or something for my first induction and then went straight to Walmart again! Went to a steak house at night with the girls was such a nice meal and got everyone out and stopped feeling home sick for a while. Although it's strange I haven't felt home sick.... yet!
TUES 3/05
Yet another early get up was up at 6am this time eurgh! Another silly induction followed by another silly trip to Walmart! Got told about covering up my tattoo but hopefully I can just leave my hair down whilst I work I ain't paying $30 for tattoo coverage! And I got told about my tongue piercing so I bought a clear tongue bar and no one has noticed woo hoo! Roberta bless her got told she had to dye her hair but quite a few other had to as well. Went to the Magic Kingdom at night , went on space mountain which was cool and a few other rides and got to watch the Fireworks. They were amazing! I've never seen a display like it!
SAT 30/4
Being me, left all my packing to last minute, kept on being distracted by goodbyes, wasn't as emotional as I thought. But had a good family and phillipa leaving meal and a good night out, even though I said I was only going out for one drink that as always didn't happen. Went out for one last English Macdonalds with philly and adz, then had to go back to finish my packing.
SUN 1/05

WED 4/05
Had to get up early again! So I'm surprisingly not struggling to get up like I do at Uni. Got given my name badge
How cute is that! :D Went to Florida Mall afterward and got some new shorts and top from Hollister, it's so much cheaper here than in England!
THURS 5/05
First day off and I didn't get a lie in. Went to Hollywood studios though. Which was so much fun! Went on Tower of Terror and Rock n Roll rollercoaster so so so much fun! Got to see a car stunt show too, which was amazing.
As you can see I met Mike and Sully. Wanted to meet Woody but the queue was 75mins long! Went to Hooters as well, wow that place is so sleezy, it's full of either single men, pervy old men, men with theirs gf's clinging to their arms, or families. The food was sooooooo delicious though! And I finally have a real hooter top! Gonna go again though cause the food wad that nice. However note to self the coleslaw here is disgusting! I miss british coleslaw!
FRI 6/05
First proper day of training at Disney's University. Found out I'm not on my own for housekeeping at Disney's All star's resort so are Sam and Margaree so I won't be a loner :) was okay, learned how the clean bathrooms and make beds properly. Although I had to do a quiz on hepatitis B, hepatitis C and HIV. Incase I come in contact with blood or a needles. It's Disney though :/ Got back quite late and just had an enjoyable evening with my roomies pizza from dominoes although I miss the garlic and herb dip :( but we played card games and stuff was fun!
SAT 7/05
Went to Blizzard beach which was sooo much fun. Plucked up the courage and went on a water slide, first time went okay, second time, I went under the water, proper freaked out and panicked and thought I was going to die. You may think an exaggeration since i was only 4ft deep however when you don't know how to swim it's scary. So from then on I went on the really shallow area like 10inches deep ha and the family one. Which turned out to be more fun. Especially the family rapids thing as it was still quite scary but I enjoyed it. Went on the lazy river, perfect for if you can be bothered walking so just float along the lazy river and it takes you every stop of the park. Went to the wave pool I of course got a rubber inflatable ring to float, saw some really really fit lads (finally) until one attempted to jokingly pretend to drown me but I just laughed it off cause then i got to meet Goofy!
Then when I came back I had finally cooked myself a meal even if it was only pasta and sauce I had cooked a meal since I hadn't allllll week with eating out or getting takeaways!
It's so weird it doesn't quite feel like I'm here to work only for a holiday so tomorrow monday when the work finally begins I'm gonna be soooooo tired as I'm working 8-4.30 every day except friday where I'm working 4-12.30 at night. fun times!
Anyways thats my week summary, hopefully I won't leave it so long next time!

Hellooooo!
Thought I'd give this blog thing a try! Mainly to get it started ready for my summer in Disney World Orlando, Florida, which will begin in 42days! Really EXCITED.
I have my flights booked now and have reserved a seat to be sat next to other Disney workers. So I won't be lonely and won't be panicking by myself when it come to changing at JFK.
I've got my Disney hoodie!
Disney pack arrived the other week which got me even more excited!
Just have to wait for my visa appointment and it looks like I'm almost set to go wahey!
