I'VE ARRIVED :D

Okay so basically I suck at attempting to keep this thing up to date! I have a weeks worth to write about so hopefully I'll have enough room.

SAT 30/4

Being me, left all my packing to last minute, kept on being distracted by goodbyes, wasn't as emotional as I thought. But had a good family and phillipa leaving meal and a good night out, even though I said I was only going out for one drink that as always didn't happen. Went out for one last English Macdonalds with philly and adz, then had to go back to finish my packing.

SUN 1/05
Did not sleep at all! Set off a bit later than I would have liked. Also got a tad upset in the car, cried a little but it was oblivious to mum and jim since I had the sunglasses on. Then when I got to the airport saw the girls who was on the same row as me on the plane, said my good bye to my mum and jim. Mum cried which made me cry again. Jeeees it's only 12 weeks I've been away for that long at uni! But got checked in had breakfast and went to board the plane!

The first plane was fine! The food was disgusting though I hate plane food bleh! Then we arrived at JFK had a quick dash to connect to our other plane. Almost thought we weren't gonna make it but we did phewwww! Then we had more disgusting food and got to watch The Kings Speech but I couldn't really get into the film as I was so anxious about arriving in Florida!!! Was a bit eventful as one of the girls had an epileptic fit, had no idea was to do in that situation, so scary! We wern't allowed to land the plane so we had to somehow get her on her seat even though she still wans't fully conscious. Luckily there were a few doctors and nurse on the plane but not on shift! When we landed the paramedics came to check her and stuff. They were HOT so nice and talkative too. But everything was fine so we finally could make our way to VISTA WAY wahoo!

Got to vista way and found out what complex we would be staying at I am at Chatham Square. Which is sooo nice we have a tennis court, volley ball court, a gym, a bbq area and a pool. Finally got to my apartment at 8.30pm florida time 1.30 am english time. Met my first 2 room mates who are from Canada Steph and Lesley  who seem nice, wasn't awkward or anything. They had just moved in today too so we were all new. Then the fourth one arrived Becky and it's so strange as she's from the uni of chester (chester campus) lives in Ulvertson (10mins from where I live) and we both went to the same sixthform. Pretty small world! Went to walmart for the first time and it's huge! You can get anything and everything including guns... The quantity size is amazing too! So many like 50 in a pack or something ridiculous! Got a phone too as I felt like a limb was missing, then came back and went straight to sleep since i had been up for well over 24hours TIRED DOT COM!

MON 2/05
Had to get up extremely early like 7am or something for my first induction and then went straight to Walmart again!  Went to a steak house at night with the girls was such a nice meal and got everyone out and stopped feeling home sick for a while. Although it's strange I haven't felt home sick.... yet!

TUES 3/05
Yet another early get up was up at 6am this time eurgh! Another silly induction followed by another silly trip to Walmart! Got told about covering up my tattoo but hopefully I can just leave my hair down whilst I work I ain't paying $30 for tattoo coverage! And I got told about my tongue piercing so I bought  a clear tongue bar and no one has noticed woo hoo! Roberta bless her got told she had to dye her hair but quite a few other had to as well. Went to the Magic Kingdom at night , went on space mountain which was cool and a few other rides and got to watch the Fireworks. They were amazing! I've never seen a display like it!

                                    



WED 4/05

Had to get up early again! So I'm surprisingly not struggling to get up like I do at Uni. Got given my name badge 

How cute is that! :D Went to Florida Mall afterward and got some new shorts and top from Hollister, it's so much cheaper here than in England!

THURS 5/05

First day off and I didn't get a lie in. Went to Hollywood studios though. Which was so much fun! Went on Tower of Terror and Rock n Roll rollercoaster so so so much fun! Got to see a car stunt show too, which was amazing.

As you can see I met Mike and Sully. Wanted to meet Woody but the queue was 75mins long! Went to Hooters as well, wow that place is so sleezy, it's full of either single men, pervy old men, men with theirs gf's clinging to their arms, or families. The food was sooooooo delicious though! And I finally have a real hooter top! Gonna go again though cause the food wad that nice. However note to self the coleslaw here is disgusting! I miss british coleslaw!

FRI 6/05

First proper day of training at Disney's University. Found out I'm not on my own for housekeeping at Disney's All star's resort so are Sam and Margaree so I won't be a loner :) was okay, learned how the clean bathrooms and make beds properly. Although I had to do a quiz on hepatitis B, hepatitis C and HIV. Incase I come in contact with blood or a needles. It's Disney though :/ Got back quite late and just had an enjoyable evening with my roomies pizza from dominoes although I miss the garlic and herb dip :( but we played card games and stuff was fun!

SAT 7/05

Went to Blizzard beach which was sooo much fun. Plucked up the courage and went on a water slide, first time went okay, second time, I went under the water, proper freaked out and panicked and thought I was going to die. You may think an exaggeration since i was only 4ft deep however when you  don't know how to swim it's scary. So from then on I went on the really shallow area like 10inches deep ha and the family one. Which turned out to be more fun. Especially the family rapids thing as it was still quite scary but I enjoyed it. Went on the lazy river, perfect for if you can be bothered walking so just float along the lazy river and it takes you every stop of the park. Went to the wave pool I of course got a rubber inflatable ring to float, saw some really really fit lads (finally) until one attempted to jokingly pretend to drown me but I just laughed it off cause then i got to meet Goofy!

Then when I came back I had finally cooked myself a meal even if it was only pasta and sauce I had cooked a meal since I hadn't allllll week with eating out or getting takeaways!

It's so weird it doesn't quite feel like I'm here to work only for a holiday so tomorrow monday when the work finally begins I'm gonna be soooooo tired as I'm working 8-4.30 every day except friday where I'm working 4-12.30 at night. fun times!

Anyways thats my week summary, hopefully I won't leave it so long next time!
